SALAMIS

Some warships are designed to win battles.

Salamis was designed to end them.

A colossal Leviathan warship under the command of Commodore Dukas, the Salamis stands among the largest and most imposing vessels fielded by the Zeus Empire. It is not simply a ship of war, but a mobile expression of imperial doctrine — overwhelming force, absolute discipline and the certainty that resistance can be reduced to debris.

Where smaller vessels manoeuvre around danger, Salamis advances through it.

Its scale is difficult to comprehend at close range. Vast armour plates form layered sections across the hull, reinforced around critical systems and weapon housings. Defensive architecture is built directly into its silhouette, giving the ship the appearance of a fortress dragged into space.

It was never intended to appear graceful.

It was intended to appear inevitable.

The Salamis exists as part of the military tradition of House Leviathan, Zeus’s supreme war-making arm. Leviathan does not deploy vessels merely to patrol or intimidate. Its ships are designed for escalation: planetary assault, fleet-breaking engagements, siege operations and campaigns where conventional force has already failed.

The Salamis is one of its clearest examples.

Its weapons systems are built around overwhelming output. Heavy batteries, long-range strike capability and layered point-defence arrays allow the vessel to engage multiple targets simultaneously while maintaining pressure across an entire combat zone. Smaller ships are forced to react to it. Larger ships are forced to respect it.

Neither response guarantees survival.

Command aboard the Salamis is rigid.

That is where Commodore Dukas belongs.

Cold, deliberate and uncompromising, Dukas commands with the mentality of someone who believes hesitation costs lives. His decisions are not theatrical. They are calculated. Every deployment, every formation and every order exists within a larger strategic purpose.

The crew reflects that discipline.

Thousands serve within the ship’s internal systems: bridge officers, engineers, weapons crews, security divisions, medical personnel, technicians and Leviathan combat forces trained to operate under severe conditions.

The Salamis is effectively a city designed for war.

Its corridors are broad enough to move armoured personnel and equipment rapidly between sectors. Hangars support assault craft and deployment operations. Armouries are integrated throughout the vessel. Engineering spaces are buried deep within protected sections of the hull.

Nothing aboard exists by accident. Comfort is secondary. Function comes first.

The presence of Salamis in a system changes the balance immediately.

To allies, it represents reinforcement on a scale few enemies can ignore.

To Zeus, it represents authority.

To those standing against it—

it represents the moment negotiation has already failed.

And that is perhaps what makes the Salamis most terrifying.

It does not need to threaten.

Its arrival is the threat.

A Leviathan warship does not ask whether a battlefield can be controlled.

It asks how much of that battlefield must remain once control is achieved.

At the centre of that philosophy stands Salamis.

Armoured. Armed. Disciplined.

And beneath Commodore Dukas—

ready to bring the full weight of Zeus to war.
